SHELBY SUPPORT! Shelby Foundation benefits frontline medical workers in virus fight

We are living in trying times and at the forefront of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic are the nurses treating infected patients. Having been through several medical procedures himself, Carroll Shelby had a deep respect for those nurses, so it is only fitting the foundation that carries his name would help support them.

“Throughout his life, Carroll Shelby appreciated the many nurses who helped him recover from the injuries he endured as a driver and from two major organ transplants,” Neil Cummings, Co-President of the Carroll Shelby Foundation, explained. "He credited much of his resiliency to their care. Today, nurses are giving the same great care to those battling COVID-19. The Carroll Shelby Foundation and Carroll Shelby’s Store joined forces to benefit a fund that will support them.”

Shelby American is offering a “We Are Strong Together” T-shirt for sale for the Carroll Shelby Foundation to benefit the Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses.

To that end, the store is selling “We Are Strong Together” T-shirts and decals and sending a portion of the proceeds to the Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses, which was founded by the American Nurses Association to assist nurses who become infected with the virus.

A We Are Strong Together decal is also available to help the Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses.

“The ANA is a wonderful organization dedicated to helping nurses reach their full potential,” Aaron Shelby, Co-President of the Carroll Shelby Foundation, added. “They created a Coronavirus Response Fund for Nurses to enable the public to provide care for nurses. This national effort was kicked off with a grant from Johnson & Johnson and is now giving Shelby enthusiasts a way to help through this fund. In honor of Carroll, let’s rally around these heroes on the front lines of the COVID-19 battle.”

The fund offers direct financial assistance and support to impacted nurses. If you want to help the cause and let people know we are stronger together, you can buy the decal here and the T-shirt here.
